Despite some concerns people may have regarding the security of their devices, mobile payments are becoming more and more popular in various countries around the world. Poland seems to be one the places where mobile payments are gaining a lot of traction, as m-commerce is overtaking regular commerce by quite a margin.

Boku Mobile Payment — Send Money Via Text Message

One of the more popular mobile payment solutions in Poland — and various other countries around the world — is Boku. Completing payments is as easy as sending a text message, which will then be processed by Boku. Regarding payment security, this type of mobile payment solution is far more secure than traditional payment methods.

Offering cardless payment solution is a great way to increase security, both for the consumer and the recipient of the payment. All it takes is owning a mobile phone to make payments through Boku, and the service is available to a fair few different countries around the world. Boku is one of the very few companies in the world offering a mobile payment service to consumers from Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.

Additionally, Boku does not require users to fill in a long form, as only a mobile phone number is required. This also means customers will not be exposing any of their financial details through this mobile payment service, as there is no additional information required. Last but not least, merchants reach an audience equal to half the world’s population, most of whom have access to mobile devices.

Consumers have two different options to pay for goods and services wherever Boku is an enabled payment method. 1-Tap on mobile is available on select websites, allowing customers to pay for their order and have the amount charged to their mobile phone bill. Internet-connected devices, on the other hand, simply have to enter their mobile number during checkout and confirm their purchase through a text message.

None of this would be possible if Boku weren’t working with some of the major mobile network operators in Europe. Vodafone, EE, and O2 are just some of the carriers Boku is working with, allowing customers on any of these providers to make mobile payments in a convenient manner. Options such as buying magazines or bus tickets through a mobile payment are now within the grasp of customers.

M-Commerce Is a Huge Business

There is no denying mobile commerce is a huge business, especially now that so many e-commerce platforms are creating mobile applications for existing and potential customers. In fact, several countries are transitioning from regular commerce to mobile commerce directly and are skipping on e-commerce entirely.

One of the major selling points of m-commerce is how merchants can reach a global audience without too much effort. Most people in the world have access to a mobile device through which they can send text messages, regardless of whether they have [reliable] internet connectivity. Boku is one of the companies targeting this market, and it could pay dividends for them in the long run.
